The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the enormous achievements to be found in all sectors of the global travel industry. Since then it became the world's most comprehensive travel awards ceremony, with trophies awarded in all areas of the industry.
In the words of Graham Cooke, president of the World Travel Awards "To be nominated for a World Travel Award is a true testament of a company's tremendous achievements in travel and tourism. It is these organizations and individuals who make our industry go round."
As Janelas Verdes and the Britania Hotel are two small Boutique hotels in the historic center of Lisbon. With their own style and individual decoration, guests can find here unique ambiances in these historic buildings of Lisbon.
As Janelas Verdes is an 18th century palace, right next to the National Ancient Art Museum. With its small garden and the top floor library, this mansion transmits a romantic and welcoming feeling. The rooms are sunny and cheerful and the Tagus is close by.
The Britania Hotel is the only surviving original Art Deco hotel in Lisbon. With a touch of modern whimsical nuances, this small hotel is unique. It's located in a quiet street just off Lisbon's main avenue Avenida da Liberdade.
